My MOM:
My name is Elham Sabeti, Amirreza’s Mother. I was born in Tehran and raised in Karaj, Iran and stayed there until after I finished high school. In 1996 I married my husband Manuchehr Adel and moved to Canada to be with him. We lived in Vancouver, BC for 8 years before moving to Ontario in 2004. I completed my education in Medical Radiation Sciences in Canada and I am currently working at the Juravinski Cancer Center in radiation therapy department. Radiation therapy is used to treat adults and children with different types of cancer. As a mom who had a child with lots of difficulties and sicknesses, I can relate to parents who have children going through radiation and how challenging it is. I do my best to help my patients and their families who are going through a difficult time and make their journey easier and less stressful.
We tried for 13 years to have a child and underwent different fertility treatments with no success. Finally, after we decided to stop trying we were so fortunate to be blessed with Amirreza. As a mother I am so proud and I feel so fortunate to have my little miracle boy.
We are a very happy family!
My Dad:
My name is Manuchehr Adel, Amirreza’s Father. I was born and raised in the village called Vandadeh in Meymeh Isfahan, Iran. I left Iran in 1986 and lived in India for a year before moving to Germany. Finally, in 1989 I was granted my Canadian immigration status and I moved to Canada where I have lived ever since. After I learned English I started my own business and have been working as a business man in Canada since 1989.
In 1996 I married my wife Elham Sabeti and moved to Vancouver, BC for 8 years before coming back to Ontario in 2004. We tried for 13 years to have kids with no success. Once we decided to stop trying, we found out that my wife was pregnant. Our sweet son Amirreza is the biggest gift of our life and has joined our family.
Myself and his mother feel so lucky and fortunate to have Amirreza. We are so proud that he is our son.
